Emily Fitzgerald began working in the dental industry as a trainee dental assistant in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley in 2010.
After completing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting (2011) and Certificate IV in Dental Radiography (2014) at RMIT, Emily was seeking a further challenge. She then undertook an Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Oral Hygiene), also at RMIT, which she completed in 2017.
While studying for her Advanced Diploma, she treated patients in the teaching clinic at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and did voluntary work at a rural Aboriginal community health clinic in Robinvale, north-western Victoria, and at North Richmond Community Health in Melbourne.
In 2017 Emily began working at Smile Solutions, first as a dental assistant, then as a dental hygienist after completing her studies.
Emily is passionate about patient education and the role of prevention in good oral hygiene, as well as aiming to provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
