Notice of continued services – dental treatment
As at 28 September 2020, routine dental care is allowed, with Government restrictions removed. The Victorian State Government has confirmed it is both safe and essential to proceed with your dental treatment at this time to maintain your oral health.
It has also been reinforced that we are able to continue to attend health appointments and we are able to travel further than 5km from home to do so.
It is our priority to continue to provide you with all of the dental services that you need and are entitled to – and to do so without delay and in safe conditions. Dental concerns are cumulative and, if left untreated, can develop into more serious issues.
If you require a medical certificate for your appointment, we are able to arrange this for you either before or after you attend your appointment.

We know a number of you, particularly our orthodontic patients, were mid-treatment at the time of the introduction of Level 4 restrictions. We understand there is some anxiety to be seen as quickly as possible to continue your treatment. Please rest assured we are working diligently to ensure all our patients are cared for in the near future.
Continued hygiene practices and additional measures
We would like to reassure you that Smile Solutions is always proud of its commitment to, and enforcement of, the very highest standards of infection control and hygiene – and no less so at a time like this.
As a matter of course, we are continuing to eliminate risk to our patients of any type of infection. By its very nature, as a dental practice, our clinic maintains the highest standard of infection control on a permanent basis.
In addition, we have taken the following proactive steps to protect the health and welfare of all our patients and staff while the pandemic persists.
What we are asking of you
To protect you and our staff, we are adopting the following additional measures requiring your cooperation:
- Limiting the number of people in our waiting areas. Please bring no more than one person to your appointment with you. Additional companions may be asked to wait outside the clinic to maximise social distancing measures.
- In addition to taking your clinical history, we may request that we take your temperature prior to treatment commencing.
- Please do not attend the practice if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms. We can rebook your appointment over the phone.
Please rest assured that no member of the Smile Solutions team attends work if they are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms.
