Originally from Cairo-Egypt, Dr Atteya has had over 24 years’ experience as a dental surgeon. He moved to Australia in 2010, and he now calls Melbourne home.

Wessam believes that “continuous professional education” is a journey not a destination, so he has pursued and attained several reputable post-graduate certifications including the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) and the Memberships of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS-RCS) in Edinburgh, Ireland, England, and Glasgow.

Dr Atteya was appointed as a mentor and a lecturer at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University for dentists and oral health therapists. He was also granted Honorary Fellowship of the University of Melbourne.

As a clinician, Dr Atteya has worked in multiple private practices in Melbourne where he gained an extensive valuable experience, with particular interest in oral surgery procedures and wisdom teeth extractions

Wessam believes that excellent dentistry provided with compassion have a long lasting, profound effect on a patients’ lives. His motto is “Quality dentistry, quality life’.
