Dr Fabian Obregon
General Dentist Qualifications – DDS (UCH), MDSc (Perio), PhD (Perio)
Dr. Fabian received his DDS degree in 2008 at the University of Chile with maximum excellence. He commenced his first specialisation in Oral Implantology in a 3-year residency at the same University focusing his interest in simple and complex surgical cases and oral rehabilitation, getting board approval in 2012 with maximum excellence. In 2014 Dr. Fabian finalised his Master in periodontics and received board approval to practice as a Periodontist in 2020. Shortly after, Fabian started his PhD at the University of Sydney in Bone regeneration/periodontics finalising successfully in 2018. Dr. Fabian also has acted as an Assistant Professor in Periodontics at the University Finis Terrae back in Chile and as a Lecturer in Periodontics at the University of Sydney till 2022. Being also a researcher Dr. Fabian has published in international and national journals on the subject of Periodontology and Biomaterials and has received certification in tertiary education from the University of Sydney. Currently, Dr. Fabian is studying for his Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in periodontics at the University of Melbourne and he is expected to finalise in 2025. Dr. Fabian is a member of ASP, ADA, ITI and Osteology Foundation.
Dr. Fabian is a light-hearted, easy-going person who truly likes patients to feel like being treated by a close friend. Also, Fabian has more than 15 years of experience in clinical teaching for which he is always happy to mentor new clinicians.
Dr. Fabian’s scope of practice includes placement of implants, GBR, ridge preservation, sinus lift augmentation, All on X, and implant crowns as well as large rehabilitation on implants. In periodontics, non-surgical and surgical debridement, crown lengthening, mucogingival surgery (recession coverage), canine exposures, gingivoplasty, treatment of Peri-implantitis and Peri-Mucositis, and regenerative procedures
In his spare time, Fabian likes hiking, going to the gym, and practising with his handpan.
