Prevention is a primary focus of our practice. Our team of six dental hygienists, including Sophie Oostermeyer
, Samantha Makin
, Jennifer Slattery
, Emily Marson
, and Naomi Hoopman
are a key part of making this possible.
If you require additional advanced periodontal treatment, Dr James Van Den Berg
and
Dr Rory Nolan, both have a Masters degree in periodontics (the study of gums and dental bone support) is also available at Smile Solutions.
Dental hygiene begins with the assessment and evaluation of your periodontal (gum) tissue.
An ideal home dental care routine is then designed for you. To enhance your home care assistance is provided in the surgery, involving removal of plaque, calculus (tartar), general staining and the application of decay-preventing agents as required.
If you are undergoing dental restorative or cosmetic treatment, a revised home care routine will be designed for you and monitored as the treatment progresses. This ensures the best possible treatment outcome.
Regular hygiene appointments, along with optimum home care, ensure ongoing maintenance of your teeth and gums.
