At Smile Solutions we have our own resident oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Mr Tristan Madden. Tristan originally from Sydney, moved to New Zealand where he completed his degree in Dentistry at the University of Otago. He graduated with distinction, being awarded the University Gold Medal for Dentistry. Tristan briefly returned to work in Sydney, prior to heading to England where he worked as a trainee in oral and maxillofacial surgery for four years. During this time he was successful in being awarded his dental Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Tristan returned to Australia in 2003 to complete his university medical degree and advanced surgical training in maxillofacial surgery over several years. He now practises as a registered specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon. In addition to private practice, Tristan also works at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery.
