Dr Avi Sivakumar
General Dental Care Qualifications – BDS (Adel)Avi was invited to join Smile Solutions upon completion of his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide. Having been born and raised in Adelaide, he took this opportunity to move interstate and work alongside some very experienced general and specialist dentists. Majority of his experience stemmed from his time in clinics within South Australian Dental Service in both metropolitan and rural locations.
Throughout dental school Avi worked in hospitality as a bar manager at a busy rooftop bar and as a result has a very strong passion for patient centered care. He believes building rapport and long-standing relationships with patients is the best way to motivate them to stay on top of their oral health. Additionally, he has a keen interest in endodontics, trauma and fixed prosthodontics; Avi would much rather save teeth than take them out!
Outside of dentistry he can often be found keeping fit or trying new cafes/restaurants. If you’re making a trip to South Australia and need food recommendations, he is your guy!
