Iolanda Testa obtained her Bachelor of Oral Health Science from La Trobe University and is dually qualified in both oral hygiene and dental therapy. Her clinical experience includes work within Melbourne metropolitan and rural Victorian practices and in a volunteer placement undertaken in Nepal.
As a dental hygienist, Iolanda works alongside general dentists and specialist periodontists to maintain and improve the oral health of her patients. She endeavours to provide all her patients with gentle and thorough care and will always strive to make their appointment a pleasant experience. As a therapist, Iolanda sees children and adults, assisting in oral examinations, X-rays, restorations, sealants and extractions; and pulp treatment in primary teeth. Iolanda believes that optimal oral health throughout adolescence and beyond relies on the provision of a positive and educational experience for young children and their parents alike.
At the core of Iolanda’s philosophy of dental care is prevention, and she believes that ongoing patient education is of the essence in establishing strong and lasting oral care habits and fostering an understanding of the need for regular visits to the dentist or dental therapist. Iolanda has a particular interest in positively changing patient oral health behaviours through promoting the benefits of dental hygiene, believing in a holistic approach to oral health care.
Iolanda is passionate about nurturing her patients throughout their dental treatment, providing them with the highest level of professionalism and excellence in care while also empathising with them as fellow humans.
