Dr Philippa Robinson has a Bachelor of Science (Physiology) degree as well as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne. Pip has practitioner experience across the full range of private dentistry and has also spent time volunteering in dental work overseas.
Pip particularly enjoys aesthetic and preventative dentistry. Embracing available technologies such as CEREC CAD/CAM and dental lasers, she regularly attends continuing education courses to keep abreast of the latest techniques and thus provide the best possible treatment for her patients.
In addition, Pip has a particular interest in the care of anxious patients, as she understands that this often presents a strong barrier to dental treatment. In order to accommodate anxious and phobic patients, she offers treatment under nitrous oxide ("happy gas") and also (in conjunction with a specialist anaesthetist) under IV sedation.
As an adjunct to her dental work at Smile Solutions, Pip also works with the management team as clinical coordinator for the practice. In this role, she liaises with clinicians and administrative staff about clinical issues.
