Three Pre-Operative Steps for Teeth in 3 Days
1. CT scan
|
|
A three dimensional CT scan (X-ray) is required to allow our specialists to assess your dental suitability, with the available bone volume and density, for successful implant placement. |
2. Assessment consultations
|
|
You will be scheduled for a consultation appointment with our clinicians: These consultations will include a comprehensive assessment of your individual needs and expectations. We will detail information about the procedure for you and give you reading material on the entire program, including costing, options and scheduling. Your medical suitability for the procedure will also be carefully assessed. You will be introduced to our team of auxiliary carers, including our Teeth in 3 Days™ Charge Nurse Karleen Giampietro, Patient Coordinator Bianca Brown and Advanced Dental prosthetist Brent Smart. |
3. Work-up
This includes aesthetic assessment, study models, bite registrations and photographs to ensure that the placement of implants and the fixed bridges can take place.
Teeth in 3 Days™ – The Procedure
Day One: Surgery (implant placement)
The operation is normally performed as a day surgery procedure in hospital under general anaesthetic. The surgeon will prepare your jaw bone and place the required number of dental implants. Our prosthodontist will also be in attendance to take impressions of your implants to begin the advanced construction of your fixed bridge(s).
Day Two: First fitting
Usually the next working day after surgery, the first fitting and initial setup of the teeth on the fixed bridge will be verified by the prosthodontist and dental prosthetist in our specialist centre on Level 12 of the Manchester Unity Building.
Day Three: Final fitting
The following day, your new high-gloss, reinforced acrylic bridge is ready to be permanently attached to the implants. You are ready to smile and enjoy your new teeth with immediate function and aesthetics.
